Some of the critters are still out and about, some have decided to try a new winter cuisine, some have moved on, some of them have decided to take a long nap, and some of them are preparing the Preserve for next year’s Spring feast.

A chance to say thanks to the California ocean currents for cleaning out our intertidal zones, for building nurseries for various forms of future sea life, then re-nourishing our coast line with a feast of plankton, and algae to feed everything from barnacles, to deep sea migrations of fish, mammals and birds.

Binoculars recommended. Children are most welcome with adult supervision. Sorry, no dogs, please. There are no restrooms on the Ranch, so plan accordingly. Rain cancels.
