The Geologic Past & Present of the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve

Join geologist David Chipping, retired Cal Poly professor, on a geology walk on the Ficalini Ranch Preserve. He will help us understand the geologic past of the Ranch and surrounding areas. Words like Tectonics, Franciscan melange and Terraces will take on new meaning after this walk. He will also tell us about how the local flora is dependent on the underlying geology.

This walk is free and open to the public. Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult - no dogs please. There are no restrooms on the Ranch so plan accordingly. Rain cancels
