A Holiday Escape Into Nature's Magic

Step into a seasonal wonderland where the crisp Pacific breeze meets the earthy, evergreen scent of one of the world's last native Monterey pine forests. A winter walk through the forest of the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve offers a serene, naturally festive escape.

Towering Monterey pines and coast live oaks form a deep green canopy overhead. Dewdrops and morning frost cling to the pine needles like delicate tinsel, while native berries add natural holiday pops of crimson against the mossy bark. Sunlight filters through the branches in soft, dramatic beams, illuminating pockets of the forest floor. By December you might even spot overwintering Monarch butterflies dancing through the branches!

Please dress in layers as weather is changeable this time of year. Children are welcome with adult supervision; no dogs please. The walk will be a leisurely stroll with little elevation gain. There are no restrooms on the Ranch, so plan accordingly. Rain cancels.
