Autumn Bird Walk
Location: Registrants will be informed of location
Docent: Jim Royer
Come join a local expert birder, Jim Royer, for an unusual walk looking for birds at various locations on the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve. Jim will start at Santa Rosa Creek and move on to the Bluff Walk on the Ranch, all the while pointing out various birds with accompanying information. This is a leisurely walk, and covers a lot of area (though very little rise in elevation), thus it will last about 4 hours. Jim has been known to invite participants to lunch after the walk for a genial bird chat!
Dress in layers with protection from the sun and the possibility of poison oak. Bring water and a snack. Jim will have a spotting scope but extras are certainly welcome. If you have a scope, bring it. Everyone should have binoculars. We can discuss vocalizations of the birds we see, if participants are interested. We will keep an eBird list for both locations.
