Friends of the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve (FFRP) has had a store on Main Street since 2014.  It is located behind the patio between Sandy’s Deli and Maddie Mae’s Pet Pantry.  For eight years FFRP has been in this location, yet every week a Cambrian or two will stop by and say they never knew the store was here.  Admittedly, the hours are limited:  11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, and 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

The FFRP store has information on trails, programs, and events.  Among the resources are an illustrated guide to plants on the Ranch, information about the marine sanctuaries offshore, and archeological reports on the site.  Three thick binders hold clippings from the founding of the Preserve to past fund-raising events such as the Kitchen Tour.  More recent annual reports cover the latest activities.  Tickets to the much-anticipated August Gathering in the Garden fundraising event on Saturday, August 27, are available at the store.

Applications to volunteer on the Ranch are also on hand.  Volunteer opportunities range from habitat restoration to staffing the store.  Store visitors can sign up for the mailing list while enjoying landscape photographs and paintings that capture beautiful Ranch views.

To pick up a Ranch-themed tee shirt or baseball cap for oneself or a friend, the FFRP store has that covered, too.  From custom wildflower tea towels to Cambria seed mixes, and nature guides to hoodie sweatshirts, a gift can be found for everyone.  Even better, FFRP members get a 10% discount on all merchandise. When running errands in the West Village, be sure to stop by the FFRP store and see all that is available.
