Learn how to use your five senses-sight, scent, hearing, taste, and touch–as you explore the wonders of the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve forest with your naturalist leader. Let curiosity be your guide as you search for emerging colorful wildflowers, mint-scented yerba buena, the rattling of grasses, the crunch of three-cornered leeks, and the texture of beautiful mosses. Practice simple steps that will increase your hearing and sense of smell. . . . opening new worlds of discovery with next to no effort.  Learn how to journal your experiences when you reach the end of your personal forest walks.

The walk is approximately 2 1/2 miles along trails with very little elevation gain. The stroll usually takes 2 1/2 hours to complete. Wear closed toe shoes and long pants to protect from trip points and poison oak. There are no toilet facilities on the Ranch-come prepared. The walk is open to all by reservation only. Children are very welcome, with adult supervision.  No dogs please.  Rain cancels the walk.
