Are you ever inspired to express yourself as you walk in nature? Do words come to mind that would give form to your impressions of the beauty surrounding you? What kinds of feelings are engendered by immersing yourself in a natural environment?

Join new docent Joanne Freemire on a short walk to the Monarch Butterfly Grove where we will find inspiration to write our own poems to capture a special moment in this magical place.

Two simple poetry forms will be taught - Haiku & Tanka. Please bring your own pen/pencils; we will supply clipboards and paper. Children are welcome with adult supervision. No dogs please; rain cancels event.
