Once again Spring has brought new life to the forest. Forest wild flowers are reaching for the sun. Beneath the surface, the forest roots and fungi networks have been connecting to provide nutrients and water to the forest as a whole. The rains, long days, and sun have given the forest the signal that it is time to grow, flower, and reproduce. The growth brings more insects, birds, reptiles, and mammals. It is a magical time for us to stroll through the forest, slow down, listen, and hopefully understand that we are part of all that surrounds us. This is an easy 2.5 hour docent led stroll around the Forest Loop Trail with very little elevation gain.  Learn about the trees, plants, animals, and the human history, of this Cambria gem. Bring water, tick spray for peace of mind; wear shoes that protect the toes, and long pants to help protect from poison oak.  Children welcome with adult supervision. Rain cancels.
