Family Walk in the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve Forest
May 28
10am - 12pm

Location: Registrants will be informed of location
Docent: Stephen Beck

Bring the children and  spend a part of your morning enjoying a family walk in the forest of the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve led by an FFRP docent. This walk is designed for the participation of children age 7 and older but younger children are welcome to attend. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

During the walk, the docent will show participants how to use the Seek app on their smart phone or tablet so they can take pleasure in learning the names of plants and animals. Children will learn how they can earn species and challenge badges. The app, Seek by iNaturalist, has no ads, requires no registration and is completely free to use.

The walk will include a brief stop at a location once used by indigenous people. During the walk we will acknowledge how this area now called Cambria was once enjoyed and cared for 1,000s of years before the first Spaniards arrived.

The walk will be under two miles and is limited to 12 participants.
